The Nash Ambassador was a full-size car produced by Nash Motors from 1932 to 1957. The 1954 model year saw significant changes for the Ambassador, including a redesigned body that featured a lower and wider stance. The front end was restyled with a new grille and hood ornament, while the rear end received new taillights and bumper. Under the hood, a new 3.0-liter inline-six engine was introduced, which produced 114 horsepower and 190 lb-ft of torque. The transmission options included a three-speed manual with overdrive or a two-speed automatic. The interior of the car was also redesigned to provide more space and comfort for passengers, with a new dashboard that featured a curved instrument panel and push-button controls for the heater and defroster. The 1954 Nash Ambassador was available in four different body styles and had a base price of $2,788. It was considered a luxurious car for the time, with features such as power steering, power brakes, and air conditioning available as options. The Nash Ambassador was well-received by consumers and was a popular choice among families and executives.
